What are the operating costs for a PC-12?
Approximately $500/hour depending on fuel and other ancillary costs.
What does insurance cost?
That actually depends less on the aircraft (and its value) than the experience of the pilot and the usage of the aircraft.
What inspections are required on the PC-12 under FAA Part 91?
Annual Inspections are required; 100/150 –hour inspections are recommended.
What is the cost of an Annual Inspection?
The amount can vary widely depending on the hours and how the aircraft has been used. Typically an Annual Inspection on a 500-hour aircraft would cost approximately $10K (USD).
What is the TBO (time between overhauls)?
3,500 hours.
What is the cost of a complete engine overhaul?
Approximately $300K (USD).
What is the TBO on the Propeller?
4,000 hours or 6 years.
What is the cost of an overhaul for the propeller?
Approximately $6K (USD).
Is there a required Hot Section Inspection?
Yes. 1,750 hours is recommended; 2,000 hours is the maximum.
What is the cost of a Hot Section Inspection?
Approximately $45K (USD).
Who can perform maintenance on a PC-12?
Any FAA approved shop with the experience and tools. However, it is recommended that you use an authorized Pilatus service center.
What is the warranty period for the PC-12?
Airframe: 7 years or 5,000 hours; Airframe Accessories: 2 years or 2,000 hours; Engine: 5 years or 2,500 hours; Propeller: 2 years or 2,500 hours; Avionics: 2 years (extended warranties are available — see below); Exterior Paint: 2 years; Interior Furnishings: 2 years.
Can the warranty be transferred from one owner to the next owner?
Yes, however you must fill out a Warranty Transfer Form when ownership is transferred.
Is there an extended warranty program?
Only from avionics manufactures and if the original owner had purchased the plan when they bought the plane. These extended avionics warranty programs are usually for an additional two years.
